Mriya means Cossack? I knew it as MRIYA... |

I know that MRYA means DREAM. Cossack means "Cosacchi". Unfortunatly the production of this aircraft is stopped to 1, i hope in future to see one of this giant of the sky. |

E' stato nominato così dalla NATO ma la traduzione vera è Sogno (in russo) o inspirazione (in lingua ucraina) The An-225 Mriya (Ukrainian: Ðнтонов Ðн-225 МріÑ, NATO reporting name: Cossack) is a strategic airlift transport aircraft which was built by Antonov Design Bureau, and is the largest flying airplane ever built by the most commonly accepted measure,[1] maximum gross takeoff weight. The design, built to transport the Buran orbiter, was an enlargement of the successful An-124 Ruslan. Mriya (МріÑ) means "Dream" (Inspiration) in Ukrainian. |
